Cucoloris  - A device used for casting shadows/silhouettes to produce patterned illumination.

C-47 - Is simply a clothespin.

C-stand  - Used to position light modifiers, such as silks, nets, or flags, in front of light sources.

Flag  - A device used to block light.

Cross-dissolve  - When one image dissolves into another.

Take  - One version of a shot.

Zoom  - A shot using a lens whose focal length gets adjusted during the shot.

Sticks  - Another word for a tripod on a film set.

Martini shot  - Is the final shot before wrapping the set up for the day.

Stinger  - Refers to a single extension cord.

To strike  - Striking on a film set means to turn on a production light.

A clapper  - A board used for syncing and identifying a shot in post.

A monitor arm  - An articulating arm used to hold a monitor in place while a camera operator is shooting.

Diva  - A type of soft light made by Kino Flo used in television or film.

Apple boxes  - Wooden boxes or crates of varying sizes used in film production.
